Once I saw this I knew I had to have it. It took a little work and time to get it but here it is. A (CIJ) crafted in Japan 1962 reissue. I believe the pickguard must have been custom-made!?!?...maybe you guys have seen them before but I haven't. It's supposedly loaded with USA pickups, not sure what until I open it up someday.
    Without further ado:

It could possibly have USA-made pickups. If you open it up and it says TL62 it has the regular, kind of lame pickups. If it says TL62TX the "TX" designates it as the model that was loaded with USA pickups from the factory.

If it was mine I'd replace that pick guard with a 3-ply WBW, but it still looks cool with the (almost certainly) aftermarket guard.

Fantastic! That thing looks rad! If it were mine, I'd go with a white guard and call it a day. But that one sure is unique!

Oh, and change that switch tip to a 60's style top hat switch tip...

That binding is awesome. I'd have to at least 'try out' a white pickguard ... but yeah - as is looks great.

You win the day. I have to agree with others, that double binding on red is outrageous!
