NGD Obey Strat

I had one of the Obey Telecasters and I wanted one of the Obey Strats to go with it. I bid on this one last summer from the same guy. He didn't like that I would not give him my phone number. It wasn't a problem. I passed on it at the time. Seller put the ad up on CL three more times and I sent an email bidding 50.00 less than I bid before! Told him why I wasn't giving my phone number. Sold. Met up with the guy and he was an awesome gentleman and seller. We talked for half an hour and agreed to share deals when we see them. Got my Strat for less. All worked out just fine!

I had this guitar years ago, I am still impressed by it. Mine was a little heavy. The artwork is awesome. If I ever run across the telecaster version with the snake on it, i am gonna jump on it for a partscaster.

I don''t give it out because I can't always be sure about a scam ad that phish's for phone numbers and emails for telemarketers. I've answered ads before all eager and such and have been hammered by telemarketers immediately. My inbox on my email has been piled on also.

Now I use an email just for sales like this and nothing else. It goes right to my phone easy so I can answer messages like texting. I am willing to meet at certain places at certain times and it never has been a problem. This seller was wary of the same thing with me and we talked and chuckled about it.

Also he is a traveling rep for a large company. He works the whole west coast. He scours all the GC's for deals and brings them home. Cleans up guitars and resells on CL. Nice hobby. He bought my Obey Strat in Fresno.

I would totally buy a Banksy telecaster!

It is handy to have a 'burn phone' to give to folks that you wouldn't want having your phone number. Especially handy if you are say pricing cars from various dealerships and don't want your normal cell ringing all the time.

Yep, the seller had a pre-paid phone. He said he only uses it for CL.

That's the one. Most people are asking 700 for them(crazy). When one comes up for a reasonable price, I never have the money. Congragulations.
