Went to play it, and it just wasn’t the right one for me - nothing to complain about, but it just didn’t make me reach for my wallet.

Hanging next to it was a brand new Eric Clapton model in Olympic white...”never tried an EC before...” I thought - why not.

Tuned it and plugged in, and was just floored. First thing that hit me was how comfortable the neck was - it just fit my hand perfectly, and was really easy to play.

The noiseless pups really live up to the name - and all five positions were exactly what I liked - and that’s before I started messing with the mid boost and TBX controls. There’s just a ton of possibilities with nothing more than that guitar and a great amp!

Anyhow - it ended up following me home...wow, what an impressive axe!

Beautiful, congratulations. I'm not particularly keen on Strats, but that is really, really nice.

Nice! Who is this Eric Clapton fella? Who would of thought he'd become a strat guy after he was so synonymous with Gibson in the early days.

I wasn't entirely sure either, but mark my words, I think that he's gonna go places in this business!

Congrats! I'm sure you will love it. Mine has been my #1 gigging axe since I bought it in 2005. I love it for all the reasons you mention. Unbelievably versatile, great sounding guitar. Nice color choice too. ;) Here's mine:

Sweet pic - that tweed twin is a looker too! I've been lusting after a tweed Princeton, which I suspect will be my next gear purchase -

I think that the neck was probably the strongest selling point for me - it immediately felt comfortable and familiar -
