You really don't own a guitar if you don't do a NGD post so here it is:

Last month I scored one of the last Gretsches from Korea, a G5622t. The quality is top notch its a flawless instrument, at first I wasn't sure about the color, Gretsch call it Georgia Green (because its like the Coke bottles ... and the CocaCola HQs are in Atlanta...) I'm not a fan of green guitars hell I'm not fan of green anything, but once I saw it... its great! it have some metallic sparkle on it.

The Super HiLotron pickups are very dynamic I don't know how to describe them, I haven't had a Gretsch before, its like they were HiFi I don't know, they sound amazing tru my AC15.

Hell yah, nice! I got mine last month too, big blow out on them. TBH, the Super Hilotrons do get close to that the original Hilotron sound but are humbucking. I think they will be little cult classics someday, and mine are staying. On the same note, I want to try Curtis Novak's own humbucking Hilotron design, but I think he might have something very similar to what Gretsch already issued and now looks like discontinued.

A new bridge is all these guitars need, IMHO. I had a nice brass dBridge bar bridge on mine for a minute, just replaced with a new ABM 2400 roller for it. I squishy spring finished it off. Even with out those, it was solid guitar right out the box.

Cool guitar. And cool photos. I love playing my Electromatic. Great neck and indestructible finish. I've come to believe that no guitar collection is complete without a Gretsch.

Yeah! Thanks for the heads up for that Adorama blow out

The ABM 2400 is a direct replacement right? I notice some tuning issues when I use the Bigsby maybe the roller would help.

Ah good price, glad you got in on it :)

Yes it drops right in, and locks to the bridge posts too. The nut slot needs some dressing but should do the trick.

First I wasn't keen on order another semi-hollow I have a ES 335 a Rickenbacker and a 335 copy with p90's but this Gretsch is a great add to the collection it plays and sound different. I guess Im a semi kinda guy which is strange because I'm short with these big guitars, but they are very comfortable to play.

Congrats! Nice looking Gretsch. Everyone needs a Gretsch in their collection. I play a Black Falcon.

Beautiful! It’s funny, Gretsches can get away with colours a lot of other hollow-bodies can’t. I have no interest in an orange or green 335, for example. But an orange or green Gretsch? Yes, please.

I've got one too, and it's a great guitar, even with the stock bridge. Pickups are just what I wanted, humbucker but with clarity and a touch of grit if you dig in.

Yeah I'm digin' this pickups a lot, they can certainly bite but retaining the twang and clarity typical of what anyone would expect from a Gretsch.

I know! I was like "A green guitar? what I'm suppose to look like a clown?" but this thing is a beauty, now I even think that it needs more sparkle :D

I'm as big of a nut over Gretsches as I am Telecasters. They're just awesome guitars and there's nothing quite like the Gretsch jangle.

Congrats on the Gretsch. Nothing like them. I have a Falcon and a 6120, both Terada made. The main Gretsch complaint is the bridge. I have Compton bridges on mine which are nice, but if I did it again I might go to Tru-arc. Enjoy it!
