    Excellent choice.
Yes I did a thread recently on Les Pauls with P90s.

    I completely understand you

My main guitar NOW is a P90's LP as well. No goldtop saddly but the viontage sunburst is not bad

I have the Epi 56 copy, which is the best Epi I ever saw - it has the pro pickups

I also got a p90 Epi junior, but in SG form. Both great things that I constantly evangelise about

That's lovely and would be my choice of LP if I had the spondulicks.

Congrats! Beautiful guitar. These are part of the "original collection", correct? I recently got one of the LP Special TV models from this series; if it's the same 50's neck profile as mine, I totally get where you're coming from. That neck sold me on mine as well.

The neck is quite beefy, but not as thick as a real fifties. I really like it as I am used to my ‘56 custom shop strat and my ‘52 tele RI.

Yes theprofessor, It sounds very good with any of my amps (mostly vintage ones). Those P-90 seems to be a nice compromise between single coils ans humbuckers. The guitar makes me play differently than my strat or tele. I can’t explain it. At 9.8 pounds it is a new feeling for my shoulder...

I like it more the more I play it. Actually, it is my retirement gift. From me to me...

Since we play blues and jazz, I’m more into P-90’s

The Gibson plugged directly in a tweed or blackface Fender amp just sounds awesome.

In fact, I find those vintage sunburst as good looking as the goltop ones.

Me too. Much as I would love a Gibson goldtop with 90s the Epi gets me far enough there for now. And those P90 pro pickups are sublime, the neck position on mine just sounds amazing.
To the OP though... happy NGD! It looks gorgeous. One day I'll join you

I was so floored by my 56 I sought out an R4. Not much better than the Epi, given it was 5k
