Stunning, but why did they put the tele waterslide on if it says nocaster on the spec sheet?
I was curious of the history of my Fake '51. What I found out is in real life they ran out of snipped nocaster stickers and the last '51s, 250 in all, sported the Telecaster sticker.
Looks like some flame in the headstock. How about a picture of the back. Nice guitar!
My guess is that it was dialed in to match the bridge pickup output before it left the CS.
Fender does that with most, if not all, of their CS guitars. They always list a "base model" on the traveler, and, for the life of me, I can't figure out what exactly the reason is. Most of my CS guitars are the same; a base model designation that is close to, but not the same as, the actual guitar.
I'll take a photo of the back tomorrow morning when I have some good light.
