Actually I just realized it's not a nocaster. It has Telecaster on the headstock.

Looks like my thread completely wrong. One of these days I will learn to read.

I think Fender did a limited run of copper '52RI's in 1997. I've been a fan of coppercasters ever since. That is a cool guitar. Happy NGD!

This is my first custom shop guitar. I bought it sight unseen. I had some slight buyers remorse between pulling the trigger and delivery. I had never even had a CS guitar in my hands before. Now that I have it I am blown away. I did own an AVRI tele and it played and felt nothing like this one while in my hands. I liked that tele, but nothing like this one. This thing sounds amazing. If go neck pickup it sounds like a Gibson. The bridge pickup is like my old AVRI on steroids. No buyer remorse. There is a little devil on my however telling me it needs a matching amp.

Great guitar! Does the pickup seem set pretty low in the surround?

I believe if pickup were set higher the magnets would be too close to the string. I'm guessing the fake Gibson humbucker would fit an actual Gibson better. That is just a guess.

Wow, I just noticed that; I don't think I've ever seen a pickup lowered that much.....

The pickup looks less deeper down in person than it appears in the photos. That said it is approx. 1/8" below the top of the pickup frame. I could probably raise it even without the magnets tugging on the strings too much, but it sounds great as is.

it looks like you could shim the neck a little bit, and get the saddles up higher and give your neck pickup a little room to breath w/o too much effort. I personally like to get the saddles up in the air in the bit. My buddy has a CS Micawber thing, I don't remember if it has a Pickup ring on it or not, or what the geometry looks like. I'll text him and see if he'll send me a couple of pictures.
