Just decided to edit this thread to be my NGD thread instead of starting a new one. Picked up this mustang for $135! Nice guitar

    Serial number: ICS12277551

    Production year: 2012 (serial: 277551)

Crafted in Indonesia by Cor-Tek (Cort) [Fender Special Run]

    ICS – I = Indonesia C = Cor-Tek (Cort) S = Special Run, 8 or 7 digits.
Typically, the S indicates a Factory Special Run or FSR guitar.
FSR stands for 'Fender Special Run' of a limited edition.
Many Fender FSR guitars are simple modified versions of existing models. Fender fits for example a Stratocaster with a Bigsby vibrato or change the headstock of a Telecaster.
However, some models in the FSR range are finished in a separate color. This is often the case with Squier FSR models.

That is a very cool guitar. Mustang with a jazzmaster trem. Never seen that before. I’d grab it in a heartbeat.

It's modded with JM/Jag bridge. That's why it's refinished. I wouldn't mind though. I like the replacement bridge better.

Wonder if the "S" (special run) is for the wiggle stick...doesn't look like the standard Mustang....or maybe that was done at the same time as the refin (if there was one )??

    If it's cheap....grab it !

I've had good luck with a couple Squiers from around that same time..... fun players.

I think I’m going to grab it. He’s only asking $150, but I bet I could get it for $135

For that price, you'd be silly not to!
If it plays well and sounds good... No question about it!

    Fast, before its gone!

$135 is good for the ones with the ugly hard tail strat bridge and junk humbuckers. Go for it!

Only the neck is Squier, the body is something else, from China probably. There was a Harley Benton like that.

    First ever Mustang!

After some research I believe you are right. There was a Jay Turser made with this body/bridge configuration. I bet that is what the body is. I haven’t opened it up yet, but he said the guy he got it from swapped the pickups so I don’t think those are original to it
