    Hi guys,
just got this baby few hours ago, and I couldn t be happier! :D Really want to thank Mark and Matt for the prfessional job and customer service they put in what they do.

Only thing that surprised me at the moment I opened the box is the colour, NOT the one I asked for . The simple reason is that my mobile makes crappy pics, so Mark made the wrong colour just because I sent the wrong one!! And it s incredible how he s captured that colour, it s exacly the same!!!
So now I have a guitar that sit between a pale butterscotch and a late 50s Tele, what s your opinion: black- or whiteguard?

    God bless.

Looks pretty nice to me. I am gassing for an Esquire in that color with a white or parchment single ply. Looks classy with the maple neck.

Man! I want more close-up photos of the finish. Is it closet clean? The checking? I'd go with a tortoise pickguard, myself. Not period accurate, but I think tortoise on pale colors looks fantastic.

Awesome. White (or parchment) guard. I love my MJT, as I'm sure you will yours.

    That is awesome.
    Black guard for sure.
I nearly went with MJT on my Tele but went with Danny Hines instead.
However the emails and follow up from MJT were prompt and pure class also.
    I do like that Tele!

Welcome to the Club! That's a beaut and yes, MJT work is top notch.

I did the same thing wanted a blackguard but with a bit less yellowed/dark butterscotch finish along with a custom spec'd MK neck Also opted for one piece light swampash body, medium to heavy relic'd.

While the body is beautifully done, the neck is the true materpiece. The aging and feel of my neck is just incredible! I opted for a wider nut (1 11/16"), flatter radius (9.5), med jumbo frets) and the Chunky C2 carve which is a pretty beefy .90 at 1st fret and .99 at 12th. Along with my specifying wear and sanded/satin back, this neck plays amazing and feels great. I woud not hesitate to order another neck or even full kit one day (a '62 Custom build would sure be sweet).

I'm still sorting out my electronics in mine a bit but have nothing but kudos for the process of working with Matt and MJT and for the final product they provide at a very resaonable price for the quality of components and work.

    Here's mine:

With a black guard, it looks like Vince Gill's 54 Tele - a cool guitar indeed.

Here's my featherweight dream Esquire from MJT. It's a 59 replica with a 1" thick neck all the way up and down. I initially ordered an MK neck, but I hated. I had to go with an Allparts TRO-Fat, but I'm very satisfied. It plays as good as any Fender I've ever played.

Sorry for the crappy quality, best I can do. Pictures taken in my little Sister's messy dungeon.
