I like it! That longhorn would also look really cool on a black pickguard- I'm thinkin'...
I'm pretty sure it plastic pickguard material. Haven't taken it off yet. Made by q-parts I looked it up came in red an gold
I've been playing this tele several hours now an I understand the pickguard is not everybody's cup of tea. I'm sure I'll change it because that's what I do. But for now I'm really enjoying it. The raised longhorn is great to rest your hand on while playing. Practice Sunday can't wait for band response. Heck we may write a song about it.
Do not, I repeat do not remove the guard! It is a sign! It is the one thing that people will remember and could catapult you and your band to stardom!
Seriously, the guard is very cool especially since you got the guitar that way.
Great Telecaster, made even better with that Pickguard !
Do Not remove it, it is seriously awesome !!
so whose signature is on it?
I'm thinking more 'C&W' but hey, it's all music, right!
I have no idea it looks like T.S. Whoever that is,I really want to remove it but it's in permanent marker an will probably look worse if I take it off. This sounds weird but I tried to find out who the original owner was to see if they may want it back. I don't want to loose the guitar but someone made this guitar theirs an I hate they lost it. I had to re solder the input jack prob why I got it so cheap an who ever sold it to the pawnshop probably got nothing for it.
The p/g responded well to some ZZ top today. Might be a Texas thang
I've seen some pic's of Billy G playing an 'Esquire' with a Long Horn emblem affixed to the body rather than the p/g so you may be channeling the Rev!
