    I had a Fender Meteora that just didn’t speak to me like I wished, so I spotted a Tele I just had to have. I wasn’t sure about it being White at first, but I just love this guitar. Time to do a little “ pikkin on the chicken”! I just had to share it!!!

    I have leaned towards Strat type guitars until this, WOW! I am into something really awesome!!

    And that is how the Tele hooks players. You cannot escape and you'll soon have "more than one".

    If you get the itch to mod (which happens constantly if you hang out on these forums), investigate the 4-way switch option which gives you both pickups in series for a humbucker tone, a stealth Les Paul at the ready.

    And a reversed control plate so the volume is up front, then Tone, then the switch to the rear. Same parts just rotate the plate and swap the the pots and rotate the switch. If the harness has enough wire length it's a no solder mod. Bill Kirchen seems to have started it, and you can see why he wants it all flipped around.

    I made my first "official mod" on my MIM Tele. Mind you, the shop I bought it from drilled it for an 8 hole pickguard even though it only has a 55 hole (Baja Tele). I have the four way switch already.

    I put compensated fat saddles on my my Baja. Man, are they nice! I am hoping that is it for modding, though; this guitar is really nice now, and locking tuners don't work (well? easily?) for slotted / vintage style tuners. If they are out there, I probably don't want to know - it would ruin the vibe of this guitar.

    I used to have Dunlop strap locks on my Strat. I un-modded that, so it is back to stock. I don't feel a mod bug for that guitar.

    Nope - once again, I don't have a point here. :D

    Or, a jazz bass style control plate with separate volume controls for both pickups = infinite tonal options in the mid position, like I have on mine. BTW, your new Tele is P, as in 'retty! HNGD! _636.JPG
