It finally happened. New Guitar Day!!!!! Been looking at the Classic '50s Tele for quite some time now but couldn't justify paying the price that was required.

They have all recently come down to $699.99 so I figured I would go on the hunt. Stopped by Sweetwater this past Saturday and the best I could do there was to order one in for $699.99 with free shipping. Went to WWBW today and got, what I think, was a great deal. They've had one in the retail store for awhile and I asked what kind of deal I could get on it. $525.00!!!!

The guitar is in great shape, no dents or dings, real light weight and sounds fabulous. It looks real nice next to its fraternal twin, Classic '50s Strat that I picked up a couple days before Black Friday (at Black Friday sale price) also at WWBW.

Nice Classic '50s Telly. It does look good together with the Strat - congratulations!

Seems like you're well catered for at the moment.

    Enjoy! :)

    50's Classics are great.

I got my first new one in 1999 for $480 + $20 shipping.

Got a used one on Ebay that had a buffalo head painted on it for $330 with a black tolex Fender 70's case. Wiped off the painting and it looked new.

I ended up converting them both to Esquires.

One of them I used a 1953 Fender Champion lap steel pickup in the other one I used a dual coil pickup tapped 13k on one side 7k on the other side wired it uo to a 4way switch.

You got a good deal at $525 they were over $900 just a few months ago they jusr recently came back down to $699 which is where they were before the price increase.

Great guitar for that twangy Don Rich sound just like it sits

Congratulations on the new 50s Classic and the great deal!

I have one like it.... the only things I changed were switching to brass saddles and a black pickguard.... now it's my number one. I love it... the neck fits my hand perfectly.

The only other guitar that I really, really, really want at this point is a Classic 50s Strat like yours. That's beautiful.
