I've had GAS for a super light, silver sparkle guitar ever since I played the Brad Paisley Signature Tele. Unfortunately, I hated the road worn look of that model and I couldn't find anything similar, off-the-shelf (short of Fender Custom Shop).

During my searching I came across some great value bodies that were just what I was looking for - super light, Paulownia wood in Silver Sparkle. So, I decided to put together a Partscaster, that would be just the way I wanted it.

I actually ended up getting a matching pair of bodies - both a Tele and a Strat. I already had a donor Strat so that one got done first but I'm still looking for a donor Tele.

I have plenty of classic Strats n Teles so these two are going to be a bit different.

I like sparkly guitars. I lust heavily over some of those large metal flaked G&Ls I see posted on thier FB page.

Same here.....if it's sparkly, I'm hooked. I really want a bass-boat / Don Rich type of sparkle job...*sigh* maybe some day.
These are the only two I have (for now).

Thanks! They look great. Always fancied a Syd Barrett Esquire-style tribute. This would be a good place to start. If you would, please share your experience with the build quality and compatibility with the necks and hardware you're using.

Well, this is the email I sent them.......

    Hi Guys

I bought 2 Fender style guitar bodies from you recently (a Strat and a Tele) and I have just finished putting together the Stratocaster using your Standard Series Paulownia body and an MIM Fender neck.

Just wanted to say that everything went together very well and fitted perfectly. The neck pocket was a tiny bit undersized, which is how I was hoping it would be and with a little sanding it slotted together perfectly.

Very happy with this body. It is very light, which is what I was looking for, the finish is fantastic (Silver Sparkle) and it was nicely shaped/contoured.

    Now on to the Tele

    Thanks again......

You do need to know what you are doing and have a bit of setup knowledge.

I might have 'lucked it' with my neck because I know sizes can vary widely. They seem to be made for MIA/MIM so it is prob better to stick with them.
