incoming..I got Les Paul gold fevah! number 2 on my goldtop hit list :)

This one has the MHS pickups historic specs vintage PAFS. Unpotted unbalanced and underwound= very clean open and airy sound. Weighs in about 5lbs.. I spent my tax refund already I sure did. :)

    Sure is purdy!

I’m quite partial to gold tops, I don’t know if it’s the lighting but that one seems to have a nice light almost champagne color to it

Looks like it has the decent tuners too

    Holy heck! 5? 5!!! Pounds!

    Very cool looking guitar.

    WOW!!!

I thought my '08 Gibson Chambered LP Standard Plus guitar was light at 7 1/2 lbs.

    That is one light guitar.

    Congrats!!!

the reason its lighter than a chambered mahogany body is the fact its a 3 ply laminate all around more like the ES guitars.

I cant find now exactly what the weigh in is but gibson list the bodies at 1.39kilos.
(3.064425lbs) a little more and the guitar would have just been pi (3.14159).

I had been looking at the florentines and they are a solid mahogany body thats been chambered. The supremes are chambered also but I seen a Jonas brother playing one and I dont want a supreme now, for now anyway unless I find a goldtop.

has the dark walnut back that look more like the walnut backs on old 335 345 355guitars :)

delivery tomorrow by UPS. I'm scared.

Fed Ex is much better delivering items of alleged value IMO.

Last 2 boxes I got from UPS were shipped out by Guitar Center and promptly returned due to damage.

Congrats! I prefer a goldtop with P90s myself (even over the popular bursts), but that one is pretty too.

Agreed, but a personal preference only. A Goldtop that isn’t LP heavy would be a wondrous thing, no matter what the pickups. Congratulations!

goldtop with p90's is on the list yes yes we need one of those too.

there are 5 LP gold tops I want for my own personal satisfaction..

maybe p90 next or a even harder to find custom gold top or maybe a classic gold top

the only standard I can find has the 50's neck and I do prefer the slim taper 60's.

this ES has what they call a modified 50's as it has rolled edges and a smaller overall profile than the fat 50's necks.
