Here's one you don't see everyday...in a lefty no less:

Picked this funky thing up last weekend. It's very comfortable to play and sounds good for the most part, but the buzzing and humming coming from it is unbearable! I'm thinking it's the pickups, but I'm not sure. Kay's site says they're "2 chrome Thin Twin single-coil Blade pickups".

I'm taking it back this weekend to have it looked at. Any initial ideas? I tried using my Vox AC10 as well as my Tech 21 Trademark 30, but the buzzing is prevalent on both.

    Thanks!

Love these, congrats. I regret not buying a black one I found last year. Too many guitars in black I thought. I’m holding out for the blonde with tort..like this....so if you don’t like the buzz....pass it along? :)

[oh wait its a lefty, doh]

    Congrats on the guitar.

My Silvertone Thin Twin is noisy too, the 60 years on it may be contributing :)

Actually, when I used to play it the buzz was a single coli buzz and of course feedback at high volumes.

Your post reminds that a someday project of mine is to get the neck re-glued and some new tuners for it.

    Cool!
Aren’t those really long scale, like 26 inch, or something?

The first Jimmy Reed LP that I got (by FINDING it by the side of the road ....."Rockin' With Reed") had him playing one of these....in fact, aren't they sometimes referred to as the "Jimmy Reed Thin Twin"?

I'd just go through the usual anit buzz methods, make sure everything is grounded etc. Including the bridge. If it's still just the pickups follow a good shielding scheme.

Looks great. Matches your avatar. I think that you're attracted to fun stuff that is yellow, orange and black! Sounds like a ground issue. I'm sure that it can be fixed and it won't cost much. Cool guitar!

I like that guitar and I like Gritty and I think Gritty would like that guitar.
