Trying to fit in with the regulars. This thing has a lot of switches!!
Congrats on the jaguar. Is that orange teie a xv-820? I just got one yesterday.
Don't remember the model it is made of paulawnia an I love it. I was looking at yours on an earlier post. Great looking guitar. Glad I'm not the only one who likes orange.
You're right , they have a lot but they are a little special! Here is mine!
Congrats on yours!
Love a jag. How are the pickups? Are they stock? I bought a japanese Jag Special HH and had to pull the pickups out pretty quick smart.
Jags are real sweet!! congrats!!! enjoy!!!
Awesome looking guitar! I love Jags. HNGD
Still getting used to the different options. Getting some good sounds through my twin an classic 30. I have the HH special an they are stock. I'm having the same problem I had with the tele deluxe with HH. The sound is just not crisp, clear,or whatever enough. I like single coils and its probably me. Sounds great for dirty stuff just haven't found that chime yet. Its still too early to make a decision cause the problem is probably me. I bet I wind up changing pups though. If I do what did you change to.
This is a better picture
There are a few weak pickup sets that come stock in the MIJ fenders, the "dragster" pickups being one of those sets. They're a bit dark and a bit muddy and don't really ring nicely. I replaced mine with a set of Seymour Duncan Phat Cat humbucker-sized P90's. They strike a nice balance between the clarity of a single coil and the oomph of a humbucker. Not quite a pure P90 sound, but pretty darn close. I absolutely adore them in my jag, they'll never come out.
Here's mine with the Phat Cats in.
Great thread, Congrats!
After looking for more about the stock pickups, and switch positions, I found the Fender Jaguar Setup site with tons of details.
Congrats. I saw a jag in GC yesterday that had a bound body. Looked really cool but was up too high.
