A departure from what I would normally buy, had a quick play and am impressed, needs a string change for my liking, but we may become great friends. IMG-20200529-WA0006.jpeg

Yup, those Ibanez semi-hollows are wonderful guitars, from the cheap ones to the pricey ones, they're all pretty good. I've owned five of 'em over the years. If they still made one with P90s, I'd probably have one now.

Thanks guys, wasnt lovestruck with the colour but now in a better light I really like it. I just tried it resting with 10s through my micro cube, without adjusting the setting from my tele and boy is this guitar loud, I have it on 3 volume and that is comfortable enough.

Nice guitar! I have an older sunburst Ibanez AS73 loaded with Duncans that I love. Very versatile.

Nice find. There was a short-lived flattop version (sort of Dano/Ric-like, if you squinted hard) that I was crushing on when those were new. Can't find them now. I intended to take some polish to that matte finish, though.

I am considering a polish on it, it's got Mark's on it from just changing strings and a quick play, so my o.c.d would take over and I would always have clean it anyway. :)

I have a 73 too that has been upgraded with SD pickups.

Kinda would like to sell it too, if someone is interested.

I bought my daughter an AS53 in the same finish for her first guitar but it has a plain tailpiece. It was used/mint when i got it so i don't think it was swapped. Interesting. Really great guitars.

Yes the tail piece got me when I saw it and didnt fit strings in it correctly till I had a good look. It is not showing this tail piece in adverts and literature

I have an AS-103 that I played until recently through a Microcube. It's the one guitar I never want to let go of. Fantastic instruments in every regard. Now I'm lusting after an AF or George Benson model.. :D

Nice score. I truly love Ibanez archtops, and I think they are a well kept secret. I wish their recent solid-bodies had as much soul, because their 80s Roadstars were epic guitars, but their designs went off the rails for me when they started marketing themselves to the fingertapping crowd.

I have an AF85 in the Violin Sunburst that is one of my very favorite guitars, though I own far more expensive ones. I bought that guitar while deployed to Qatar and had it shipped there from the US so I had something to play, and then took it back for 3 more deployments.

I've recently been seriously considering an AS83 in the same finish since I don't have a semi-hollow.
