The outer shipping carton was pretty much a wreck....
    IMG_20200723_112037112.jpg
and the inner carton had taken a couple of good hits too...
    IMG_20200723_112928880.jpg

I bought this model 800 something like a week or ten days ago from Eastwood, and was informed that it was the last one available of it's type, so I feel fortunate to have been able to snag an example of this model for my own little collection before it was too late.

According to its shipping label, it was shipped from Liverpool on the 21'st, and arrived in Nowhereville, South Dakota in only two days?????

    Is that even possible?

Anyway...the guitar inside the battered cartons was in good shape...a miracle judging by the condition of those boxes.

I had ordered the guitar in the finish I had named 'Roseburst', unfortunately (?), the reality is that it's a actually a rather slightly pinkish 'Greyburst', but I'll take whatever I can get at this point, and I'm sure it will grow on me with a bit of time. I'm just happy to have one.

As the owner of a Retronix bass and guitar, I’m happy your “Greyburst” made the trek despite its adventures.

Glad it survived the trek with only damage to the boxes. Great looking design by the way. Enjoy.

Yes, I had to buy this one for the same 'firesale blowout' price everyone else does ($749, down from its original $1149 retail) during Eastwood's recent liquidation of all things 'Backlund'.

However, it's the first and only Backlund model I've had to pay to aquire, so I'm not going to file any serious complaints anytime soon.

    Thanks!

It'll probably just hang on a wall like 90% of my other guitars. I must have twenty-five guitars, but generally only actually play three of them with any regularity, and perhaps ironically, none of them are Backlunds.

    Go figure!

    ;)

    Nice.

I just had a cooler delivered from Colorado in 2 days! In the mean time I’m waiting on a car part I ordered from England last week!
