Had to get a new guitar so the only one I have doesn't feel lonely :p
It was love at first sight I guess. Although it was 400E more expensive than the Player ii Mod I have, I can't say for sure the price difference is justified.
Neck and fretboard are definitely nicer but the factory setup is rather disappointing. Luckily I'm better at setting up guitars than playing them.
Other than the setup, the guitar is flawless, can't wait to get home and test it.

Yes, it’s called Mystic Aztec Gold I believe.

You're right and it's a winner. Looks great.

The last Japanese Fender I bought pretty much arrived in tune which is crazy considering it travelled halfway across the planet to get to me. Their setups are normally pretty great too but I guess that's just one of those things that happens with shipping.

Cool guitar, enjoy!

I retract my words. 🙃 Only had to lower the saddles and it’s perfect now. Neck relief, nut, intonation were spot on. Definitely less work to do than on my MiM.
Couldn’t go lower than 4/64 with string height, same as on the Player II. Seems like the sweet spot for Fender Teles.

Aha that's cool. I'm quite jealous, I think the mystic Aztec is mesmerising.

Hybrid IIs are great guitars. A clear cut above the player series.

They’re the equal of the AmPros, quality wise.

Had one for a bit, would happily buy one again if I had the extra cash.

I have been eyeing the Hybrid ii for a while, they are in the pricepoint of the performers, but I have been wondering if they are really on par quality wise. You say they are even better than Performers and more on the Am Pro ii?
That is encouraging.
