Visited a recently opened local guitar store, and saw this Guild F-1512 12 string. Played it for 20 minutes and couldn't leave without it. Solid Sitka Spruce, solid East Indian Rosewood. No flaws, craftsmanship is excellent. Setup was perfect.

This thing is an absolute cannon. I have been looking for a nice 12 for a long time. This one ticks all the boxes. Will post some better pics when I get back. :)

Very nice. A good 12 is indeed a cannon. My old Takamine is guilty of that, as well.

Action is low, with no fret buzz. Neck is a vintage C. Very comfortable to play.
I find that a really nice sounding/playing 12 strings are hard to come by(unicorns). I think this is the second one I have played that felt and sounded this good. The only other was a 300 series Taylor.
The neck on the Taylor was great, but the sound of the Guild is on another level from the Taylor. Rosewood vs Sapele(hog). GC vs Jumbo is also a factor. Plus the fact that I am a sucker for Rosewood when it comes to acoustics. :)

Something about a jumbo shape that I like a lot. That's a good looking guitar!

    Cool!
In all my eons of guitar playing, I’ve still never owned an acoustic 12 string.
    Maybe soon!

Guild 12s are the best. They got it right.

I own an early ‘60s Hoboken D-40. A great dreadnaught acoustic.

SRV did indeed play a Guild on MTV, but it was an F-512 (mine is the 1512), which is Guild's flagship model, and probably the greatest 12 string ever made IMHO.

I had an '80 F512, great booming jumbo.

Actually, SRV played a Guild F412 (Arch-back Maple version) on MTV Unplugged.

I stand corrected. That guitar needed a cigarette after Stevie' s performance. Man oh man. :)

    Nice guitar man.
I get the hots and buy a 12 string every few years.
I've never had a Guild though. No doubt it'd be a keeper.

I’m not a 12 string guitar owner but do like them and played in a duo for years with a guy on one. I’ve always thought Guild had the 12 string thing down in the right way. Cool guitar!
