NGD - Gretsch Electromatic!

My local Guitar Center is discounting the Gretsch G5230T from $699 to $479, so I had to jump on it. I had the previous model 15 years ago, but traded it in to get my FSR Tele Deluxe, and I’ve been regretting getting rid of the Gretsch ever since. My original didn’t have the chambered body or the master volume, and it didn’t have the blacktop filtertrons, so I’m excited for the upgrades that this one has. My only regret is that they couldn’t swing the same deal on the one with the Cadillac green finish.

No case, or even gig bag, but it’s just going up on the wall for now anyway.

I'm with you on Cadillac Green, but black will work. I've always been leery of a Bigsby, but that's beside the point. That price for one with a Bigsby is a steal. I've wanted to scratch that itch for a Gretsch. We'll see how the finances go. There's a dealer near me that used to stock a lot of Gretsch guitars. I haven't been there in a while. Congrats on a very cool guitar!
