oh wow, thats beautiful! is this semi or full hollow?
Stunning Godin. Those bound f-holes are so cool.
Semi-hollow. It has a centre-block, but a lot of it is carved-out. Still not the floating bridge of a full-hollow. It's perhaps best thought of as a Canadian single-cut ES-335.
(I wanted one a in 2020 but couldn't find any new.I Iwent ahead and got the nice
Yamaha sa 2200).
Price range please?
Around $2300 USD ($3000 CAD).
Thanks I may have to have one. I hear good things about them.
Congratulations and HNGD!
I've been all over it, and it is utterly flawless in fit and finish. It plays wonderfully, and really well intonated and set-up as-received. The transducer pickup is incredible. The range of tone with just pick-strike volume is incredible. I haven't figured out how to make the most of the humbuckers yet. It doesn't out-rock my Tele (yet).
I just looked that up and they look like an incredible guitar. Very similar, I'd say. You really wouldn't need both. (But I'm in love with the transducer pickup on the A/E.)
it looks amazing! I had a Godin 5th avenue before, and can attest to the quality of these guitars! coincidentally, Im in the market for a 335-ish guitar! tons of options at this price range though!
Transducer?! Is that the extra switch?
Edited to add: Ah, that's the A in A/E.
That's true. Lots of options. The one guitar I excluded from consideration was an actual 335. Being in Canada, I decided to stay local.
That ebony finish is cool. Beautiful guitar. Congrats!
