Happy New Guitar Day and congratulations on your sobriety anniversary…

And all your guitars are awesome…the Les Paul Special, the Telecaster Custom and now the 356…that’s a great Guitarsenal!

Those are fantastic guitars. I sold mine to a buddy who was in need of one for personal reasons. Congratulations on your life choices as well.

Congratulations (on various levels). In my book, the CS 336 and the CS 356 are, arguably, the best all around Gibson guitars made.
No, I don't own one.

Just reached 3 years of sobriety on January 4, 2023 and decided to treat myself to a nice Gibson after having been buying too many Teles over the last couple of years (Yeah, I still want more Teles though!). Picked up this lovely CS-356 from the friendly folks over at Dave's Guitar Shop in beautiful Wisconsin. This little cousin of the 335 packs a mean punch at just 7.3 Lbs (check the size comparison photo next to my Les Paul Special and one of my Teles!). Classic '57 pickups absolutely roars and cleans up quite nicely, too. Beautiful flame top. It's good to treat yourself every now and then. Life is short. Indulge. Just go for it.

Congrats on Both your Sobriety and your new celebratory acquisition.
Music and playing your guitar is the ONLY Real drug anyone needs. It's what really gives you a great high.

Sobriety looks really good on you!
I took the pledge a few years ago, one of the best things I ever did.
Really well done pal.

Congratulations. That's a beautiful CS356 and the 2nd CS356 posted was also a beauty. I've got my 2007 CS336 and love it to death. Something very cool to me is the way they hang so perfectly on a strap. Solid body Les Pauls do it and full size ES335s do it but I was really surprised Gibson was able to greatly reduce the ES-335 semi-hollow body size to the CS-336 / 356 body size without causing any neck drop issues. My guess is the switch from the ES-335's laminates to the CS-336's hardwoods.
