AFAIC, calling that a "Two Tone Thinline" is misleading. This is a "Two Tone Thinline" in my book...
@LGOberean, you may have to take that up with Fender's product marketing department...
I'm not on some kind of campaign here. That's why I qualified my statements with "AFAIC" and "in my book."
Can’t we just agree all guitars are special? Ha! Lovely axe, man!
Ok, update - Fender got back to me today re: how many they made. According to the rep, it was just shy of 300. He didn’t clarify if that was just my blue or for all colors combined, so waiting for clarification. My assumption is all colors combined.
So, seems we have a pretty uncommon beast. Cool!
Updated update - Fender got back to me again and clarified their answer: the initial number was just for the Daphne Blue model.
Totals for all models are as follows:
Daphne Blue - “just shy of 300”
Surf Green - “about 250”
Fiesta Red - also “about 250”
That makes it just under 800 for all models combined, so still pretty uncommon.
Hope this is useful.
