I never, ever thought I'd get non-fender tele unless it was a Kirn, K-line, Nash, etc.

Went to a non-big box guitar & pedal store and saw this on the walll. It called to me. Black, binding, unconventional pickup config (for a tele)? Okay, let's pull it down. Bigger, compound radius neck (I think it's roasted maple)? Well, okay? Sale? wrap it up, please. I was looking for a different sounding tele (as opposed to the teles I have - baja, am std, am pro, player hh, 72 deluxe with the wide range humbuckers) and this one is different. If you you got this far, it's a Reverend Pete Anderson Eastsider S.

Hard to argue with what less than a baja used to cost. Maybe this one was on the wall a while and that's why it was less. I dunno. So far, it's a lot of fun and a nice change up. I'd better like it. Resale on it won't be what a Fender would be. But these days, resale on any guitar isn't what it used to be. Buy to play it, play it to love it, love it to own it, own it to rock it.

Btw, sorry for the shoes and what not in the background. My playing space is the garage now and it was like 100 degrees in there, so I snuck some playtime in the closet.

Looks good, right now I am in a sell mode, not buy. That one looks like a keeper.

I want a full report after you've played it in for a while. I've had my eye on one of these forever.

I have the Eastsider T and it's a great guitar. More traditional tele than yours of course. They are high quality all over, and I love the neck shape, just right for my hands. If I ever buy another electric (ha!) I'll give their semis a hard look.

Cool axe! Reverend puts out some quality instruments. Been thinking about a Greg Koch lately.

We have a store here in metro Detroit that sells a ton of them. I guess they started here in Eastpointe but moved to Toledo.

Very nice. I've been looking at Reverends recently.
That guitar is close enough to a Fender. When I saw the heading, I thought you'd bought something like this:-

Crazy man! That thing probably really rips! I'll never forget Bonamassa's fav tele - the one he picked up at a Guitar Center that was an original early 50's tele that someone had put humbucker's in. He said (paraphrased) "Well... it's a shame that someone routed it for humbuckers but... since they did... let's have some REAL fun!" LOL!! Cracked me up ;) So... have fun with your new gitfiddle and let us know how it goes! Cool guitar man!
