As is normal for me, I’ve made some mods already - she’s had a set of locking tuners (Fender) as well as a top-hat switch and some Gotoh compensated saddles.

Congrats, glad to see that a person is getting exactly what they want. I wanted a USA Tele and when I was able to get it, I was one very happy camper.

The rosewood is very dark - that makes so much difference, aesthetically.

I don't know if I would even call this a "burst". All I do know is, that's one of the handsomest bodies I've seen on a USA production Tele in some time.

Thanks all. Had my eye on this one for months. Finally Pre-ordered it yesterday - out of stock everywhere I tried. Had an order time of 8-10 weeks.

Anyway, within 5 mins of ordering I got a despatch notification. I queried it, and they said “oh yeah, we had a HUGE delivery from Fender today. Yours must have been on it. Happy New Guitar Day”

Here's one being displayed by Chuck Levin's, that's not that attractive, but I think FMIC wants the customer to feel that great care has been made to find select, fairly light and beautiful pieces of alder are being used. If Ash won't be so available as the "pretty wood", then they will have to be more choosy on the alder they use.

Wow! I’m not normally a fan of that finish, but that looks good enough to eat... or play. Enjoy!
