This is so true. They can be really hit-and-miss, but when you find one of the good ones they're absolutely magic.

I can understand why you wouldn't want to cover that finish with a PG. It's a beaut!

Yeah I’m really happy with the finish. It lighter than I thought it would be so that’s a plus. After some pickup height tweaking (the factory had them setup all out of whack) it’s both a beast and a soft beauty. They had the bridge pickup jacked up almost all the way to the strings lol. I lowered it, a little lower on the bass side than the treble and did the same for the bridge and the mud vanished. It’s a great sounding guitar.

That's a gorgeous finish! I'll get a Traditional someday too, definitely my favorite USA model, so I'm a bit jealous over here :)

Very cool. I normally don't like a lot of figured top (too fancy for me) but that's flamey without being flagrant!

I’m the same way. I like how it’s flamed in the center and kind of fades out on the edges.

No not on the Traditionals. No push pull pots of any kind. All that confuses me on Les Paul’s, too many knobs to keep track of lol!

I have a 2008 desert burst and yours is 10 times nicer looking than mine. Good luck with it!

Sweeet! Just don't be sniffing the nitro too much. It smells good, but definitely isn't good for you.

That has a nice top on it i have an older model vintage burst with less figure in the grain and love it. But that one is is a great looking Les Paul. Enjoy.

But it smells so good! Lol I always heard about Gibson’s having a nice smell and wondered how in the world a guitar could smell good. Now I know. It smells delicious lol.

I know that smell. I got a 2017 Classic a few weeks ago and that vanilla smell is addictive. Man, I hope it's not that bad for you.

Nice! I got a 2017 Traditional on sale also, with the Honey Burst finish, and it is so freaking good.

I did put the poker chip on mine, though. An LP doesnt look like an LP without the chip.
