They don't do the black headstocks anymore. They had sent me an email in December saying that the black headstock option was going away in 2021, which is what made me go ahead and pull the trigger :)

Ask and ye shall receive lol https://www.tdpri.com/threads/introducing-my-guitars-and-me.1061314/

$1,664.99 was the price after the 10% Fender Play discount but before sales tax.

How does it sound? I have a hardtail and find it gives a warmer sound.

    Very nice

If I ordered one it Sherwood be Sherwood Green.

    Great choice of options.

    Enjoy!

Yea, a bit warmer and fuller, and a bit more sustain, at the cost of some chime. I find that I am gravitating towards using the hardtail for lead work, and still using my trem strat for rhythm tracks.

That's hot. Were you happy with the set up or how the neck feels?

That is exactly what I found. But mine is a 2007 Squier Bullet hardtail Strat. But that makes me think the warmth goes across models and is down to the lack of a tremolo block.

Neck is fine, but I've become used to playing lots of different neck profiles and fretboard radius-es, so i'm not particular about that kind of stuff. As long as it's not a complete baseball bat, I can usually manage fine with it lol. Same with the setup, it was fine, no fret buzz or any major issues like that, but maybe a tad higher action than some people would like.

    Nice! Sherwood Green rocks.
I've done Mod Shop on a Tele and also a P bass. I think my Tele took about 2 weeks from payment to delivery. The communication is pretty nonexistent so I ordered mine through a local dealer. The cost was exactly same but they get a commission, I get a safe delivery without any surprises and a basic setup before I picked it up.

I have been wanting an Ocean Turquoise, hardtail, HSH strat for years. Although a matching headstock, sadly, isn't an option... I think I could somehow manage.
You have a really nice looking guitar. Thanks for posting. I had NO idea a Mod Shop existed!

Looks great. Excellent choice on the color combo. Love the painted black head stock. This combo in lake placid blue would look amazing as well.
