That’s a crazy deal man! I absolutely love the look of that neck and if you want to post some more neck porn pics, go for it! It really looks like it would have a natural smooth feel to it.

Big congrats on a fantastic find! I saw the strat version in GC a while back. They are gorgeous. Too bad they’re not as common as maple. I’d trade every neck I have for them.

I picked one up myself in December at a slightly better price. Do you know what year model your is? Mine is a brand new 2017. Not sure how that works. I took it for an initial setup and the shop claimed that I should return it because he could not bring the neck to stop the fret buzz in the 12-15th fret. He was wrong. 10 gage strings work better and there is really no issue with the neck. I adored this guitar so much that I got a Fender Blues Deluxe Amp to go with it. Most awesome sound a guitar has ever made. It has all the specs that I would have wanted if I created a very expensive custom tele through Fender. The combination of all the unique Telecaster gems are included. Rare mint green, Bleed tone control, all Rosewood neck going all the way to the head (not just the fingerboard), 3 compensated saddle bridge, and the custom pickups. Because she is so classy, I named her Marilyn

Its funny you asked about the model year. The one in my original post was a 2017 as well. GC gets a bad rap, and sometimes its deserved, but they treated me right.
I took the guitar back as on closer inspection some things were bothering me. The hardware had some putting issues, like someone with seriously acidic sweat had touched it. Second, it needed a serious fret level. I do my own setups and could not dial out the bass side fret buzz. Lastly, you could feel the skunk stripe transition.

I called a closer GC to my home and the manager said to bring it in as they had a brand new 2019 they would inspect and swap it for me.
I did and the new one is much better. Much darker neck, much better fretwork, much better finish (original one had a visible knot under the finish). I was worried the price would throw the manager off but all he said was that I got a great deal on a new guitar.
Once set up I can't put it down now

I bought one on sale too.
Bowed Neck, Shrunk neck and my Tech would not work on it. He said to send it back.

    Happy you like yours bro

Even though it was miserable to play it did sound good but it is horrible, frets stick out past the neck and terribly bowed neck.

I got it setup to .008 relief, low E 4/64ths and high E 3/64ths. I like my high e a little higher than 7dual as I got hot dog fingers and like to bend.
