I swear I wasn't looking to buy a guitar today but... I went to GC and saw this Tele tagged with a price too good to be true. $899.99 new. A quick call to a buddy at another guitar shop confirmed thats near or below cost. GC honored the price to my surprise. Came with all the case candy, had the plastic on the pickguard, not a scratch.

I really like these Tim Shaw pickups. And that neck! I recently sold my Baja as there were some things I couldn't bond with, the weight being one. This guitar is a feather in comparison.

Wow, fantastic find, and what a beautiful guitar! what's the neck like? I have never seen an all-rosewood neck guitar in person...

Nice! I owned an all-rosewood neck (Warmoth) many years ago, lovely thing. Can't say it sounded any better or worse than anything else, but it sure was nice.

Congrats! That looks like it sounds so nice. I'm totally a maple neck guy, but when ever I see a full rosewood neck tele I get interested. I'd have bought that right away

Awesome! I’ve had my eye on that one plus the daphne blue Strat with the Rosewood neck.

When you say “new,” did they have one in the back, new and sealed?

I hope I see the same deal but don’t want a floor model.

Here's what they told me, and the condition of this guitar backs up the story: a guy bought one over the weekend. They had 3, one on the shelf and 2 in the back. They said the guy went back and forth for hours between the two and settled on the one that was out. This went on the shelf after that. They had another in the back but the neck was really light colored, I like this one much better. This came with all the goodies, tags booklets and they managed not to lose the Certificate of Authenticity which is a bonus too.

My buddy has one of those. The neck is a real joy to play and it also sounds very good. Nice score!

Sam, I'm sorry that your Baja was a heavy one.

I'm impressed, that guys are liking the look of the typical Fender T type, with the all rosewood neck. I have a Warmoth rosewood neck and I tried it on a half dozen various Fender T loaded bodies and never bonded with the look.

Just wanted to congratulate you on the deal, but to mention to the readers that, IME, if the a maple neck of a certain set of dimensions weighs 500 grams, then the rosewood neck of matching dimensions will be 600 grams. That's why I had to read your post 3 times. You're not saying the neck is lighter, just that the whole guitar is lighter.

Anyway, very well bought indeed. Hadn't seen anyone else with a deal that good on this one.
