The “like” button doesn’t really cut it here.

There should be a “this post sent me to Reverb for two hours and now I forget what I’m supposed to be doing” button.

Thanks all! I'm really enjoying it so far. I got the action dialed in a bit more today, I needed to tighten the truss rod a bit (I like a mostly straight neck), and that helped quite a bit.

The guitar sounds great with my pedals too, Box of Rock sounds fantastic on the bridge pickup especially, all of the positions sound great with my Morning Glory, and same with my Muffuleta.

It's the most I've ever spent on a guitar, so that's kinda racing through my head, the whole imposter syndrome thing, but here's to hoping I get over it.

Happy NGD. That's a cool guitar. My bandmate had the same one and I used to pick it up every now and then. I entertained the thought of getting one myself, but then they kinda disappeared for a while (even on the used market) so my GAS was cured by happenstance. By the time the shops got new stock back in, I had already got my own Mod Shop Jag, so I'm a happy camper after all.

Does the Marr Jag have an even slightly shorter scale than the standard Jags? I've read about that somewhere..........

Nope, it's standard 24" scale, so no change there.

    I'm licking the screen.

My mate Steve has one. He says it's the best guitar he's ever played.

    I really need one.

I had a wonderful mental realisation over the last couple of years. Playing music is not a Members Only Club. There are no minimum entry requirements, no fees to pay anyone, no special badges etc. It is 100% about your own personal enjoyment and fulfilment and it doesn't matter in the slightest how your ability compares to anyone else's on the planet. Success is highly subjective. For one person it's selling out stadiums, for another it's being able to strum a bar chord cleanly. Both have just as much right to be making music with whatever instruments they enjoy playing.

So have fun with your Marrguar. You deserve it :)

Thanks for that! To be totally honest it's something I went through in therapy a few years ago, the fact that I'm deserving of nice things, and I shouldn't think "I don't deserve this" when buying nice things for myself.

In other news, I just ordered a "Real" Staytrem last night for the guitar, so hopefully I'll have that in a few weeks.
