Welp, I did it. I sold a drum kit I had, threw a bit of money on top of it and bought a used Marr Jag. It's my first American Fender. It's surprisingly resonant for a Jag and isn't super heavy. There are a few dings, one on the bottom bout (which can be seen in the first picture), and some more serious paint damage closer to the neck plate. I don't really care about either, the guitar's going to get played, it's not going to be a museum piece. I got to plug it into my 63 Ampeg Jet this morning and play with it for a bit at a "reasonable" volume, and I was very impressed by how it sounded. I was fooling around with the strangle switches and I even really enjoyed those sounds. I honestly wasn't able to find a bad sound on it. Anyways, now for the pictures. I already ordered a mint pickguard for it, because the stark white on the Oly is a bit ehhh to me, and I'm one of those monsters who doesn't absolutely adore tort.
