I’ve been looking for a good Telecaster for a while now and found this one today.
It’s a 2020 Time Machine series 57 reissue. It has a lightweight Ash body (my favorite for Fender guitars) it weight 7.0lbs and is very resonant and acoustically loud.
The finish is Candy Apple Red with a Journeyman relic job. The neck still has lacquer on it but it’s very thin so will probably smooth out over time.
The pickups are hand wound 55/56 Tele pickups which are really nice, I’m used to Twisted Tele but I think I like this current set more. The wiring is called Fat50s so it’s the old school one - seems fine so far.
The saddles are steel and not brass like I used to have before.
So far I love this guitar and it could end up being my main guitar - super versatile and just fun to play.
