I was so impressed by the AO 70s custom I recently bought that I couldn't help myself when this came up at 30% discount in a local dealer.

STUNNING guitar ,absolutely perfect fit and finish.
6.3 pounds and those Tim Shaw pickups kill it.
Fender has really upped its game... 20210415_184036.jpg 20210415_164547.jpg

Why do I click on these threads? It just makes me want one....
I bought a 60's AO Tele in '18 when they came out...I'm still as amazed with it today as I was the day I pulled it out of it's case. I haven't even modified it, except for some cosmetic things...the pickups they've been using in the AO series are incredible. It's the first Fender guitar I've never considered even adding a treble bleed to...which is something I always did.
For a guy that normally like 7.25" w/ vintage frets...I gotta admit the 9.5 w/ vintage tall frets might be better.

    Enjoy it!

Those 2 AOs I recently bought are the first Fenders in 40 years that I don't consider even changing the input jack or adding strap locks.
They are such works of art that I intend to keep them 100% original.....

That is so dang sharp! Love a burst thinline. And I agree, I like the Shaw pickups, I have them in a T. Enjoy, wear it out.

30% discount!? Man how did you swing that in this market? Nice job!

I'll chime in and agree that the AO series guitars are some of the best ever. I got an AO60's Tele last year and it was so good that I sold a bunch of other stuff and bought two more: an AO60's Strat and Jaguar. They're the only guitar I reach for now.
