Yeah very much depends on the light and the camera.

The guy on eBAy keeps putting it up. I’ve been tracking the price. He wants £1500 I don’t know where he’s set his min price now but it never reaches it because he’s misguided and so he’s wasting everyone’s time. He wants 40 quid for delivery in the UK which is also excessive. I think in UK in top condition 1200 is the limit.
Every now and then I get itchy feet with my 64 and think I could sell it for something else. I know it's not the same model but I've never had any interest even at 1100 despite the popular opinion that the AVRI 64 is arguably Fender's best Tele up to the CS models. I'd only want the mystic seafoam Professional because it matches my ltd Blues Junior. Perhaps that's an awful reason to sell a great guitar lol.

1100 is what I bought my demonstrator for. It already had some wear to the body of course but not much

The ‘64 is a little niche for most players. It is for the officianados and purists with that spec. It’s a great guitar and beautiful.

I think wider political and economic factors are now starting to weigh on the UK kit market.

Such a beautiful Tele! There are two guitars I really miss, both of which I had to sell for financial reasons 9 or 10 years ago, and one was a surf green AVRI '62 Tele Custom that I had modified with a Duncan Firebird pickup in the neck position. That guitar was pure perfection to me--aesthetics, tone, feel. One day I'll own another.

Here was mine:

I see you have it back up for sale. Best wishes with it. Are you looking to fund a different guitar or just bored with it. The LPB is the loveliest of the 64s.

I have a seafoam Blues Junior with creamback which I really like. So for no reason other than the colour, I've always wanted the mystic seafoam professional tele with maple neck. Actually that, the AVRI 52 and the LPB 64 I ended up with are the three I chose between. I've never really lost the gas for the other two!

This is a bit of a wish-come-true day for me. I've wanted a great example of the AVRI Custom Telecaster 62 Reissue for years. And now I have one and am thrilled!

There don't tend to be many of these come up for sale in the UK and, when they do, they tend to be overpriced in my opinion. Either that or, less usually, a bit beaten up. There are loads of MIJ ‘62s here, but not so many USA. And I've never seen a Surf Green here before.

I actually found this guitar about a year ago and at the time I had way too many other commitments and couldn't make the move. The guitar was in a local instrument store in a city a long way from me and, awkwardly, a customer commission sale - cash in person only, no courier. It meant a good drive away from me. Anyway, I put it at the back of my mind. I then sold two MIM Teles after Christmas and I checked back in with the shop to see if it was still there and asked for more details and lots of pictures.

And then today, I had the opportunity to be much nearer to the store so I twisted my travel plans in order to check it out. I got it and for under the on-line market price in this condition.

It is a close-to pristine 2007 in Surf Green. The colour changes with the light from light blue to green. There is hardly a mark on it. It's a pretty as a Summer's day. The shop owner said that it had been under the bed and rarely played by a local player collector.

It has a sumptuous slab of smooth dark rosewood with a nice slight rounding of the fretboard edges and a lovely shaped medium neck. It sounds glorious - chimey, snappy but warm. The '62 bridge pick-up I have on builds and it is a favourite. A nice weight, probably 7.5 pounds, it balances beautifully. I hope the pics do it justice.
