Introducing my new Fender 70th Anniversary Esquire!

I've been stalking these for awhile and I finally saw the right one pop-up - for the right price - at a retailer located here in Canada.

It's a joy to play! It weighs in at 6 lbs and 10 ounces. Regarding potential mods, I'm a sucker for the Fender Compensated Brass Saddle set that you can get for $20 from the Darren Riley website. The body is routed for a neck pickup, so I could always go the 'Double Esquire' route if I desire...but I doubt that I'll ever do that (it's just nice to know that it's an option).

All in all, I’m really impressed with the quality of this instrument! It sounds great and it feels wonderful!

Nice I love them in LPB. I grabbed a white one recently myself - it's one of the lightest guitars I've got.

Congrats, that's a cool guitar and those are great photos! But why would you turn it into a double Esquire when you have two other Teles?

Incidentally, is that a Road Worn Copper Tele in the group photo?

Re my Esquire, I was just curious how they were routed. Like I said, I don't think I'll ever convert it - but, hypothetically, I like knowing that I have that option.

And yes, that is a Road Worn Copper Tele - https://www.tdpri.com/threads/ngd-fender-road-worn-telecaster-le-in-classic-copper.1004658/

Congrats! I have the same one in LPB and I'm loving it. When mine finally arrived at my local L&M all the sales dudes came by to have a look and admire it. Mine weighs in at 7.2 lbs. so it's a little heavier than yours but still a nice light weight.
