Here's my Christmas present: Fender 60th Anniversary Telecaster in Blackguard Blonde.

Fantastic guitar, I love the feel of the neck. Very low action, playing is a lot of fun.

    Yes!!!!!!!!

    Awesome! It looks beautiful!

I got one too last week and it's excellent!

I love the finish.... the tone... the playability...... the cool 60th neck plate... everything about it!

It has a really crystal clear tone but fattens up beautifully if I crank up my amp. Just amazing!

Congrats and I hope you're able to enjoy that guitar for many years to come.

Thanks for all the kind replies! I know I'm going to enjoy the guitar for a long time!

The photos were taken by my lovely wife - who also happened to buy the guitar as a present for me... I wish I could play as well as she's with taking photos.

Last night, I raised the pickup height a notch. They were set up fairly low, and there was a noticable difference in volume compared to my Les Paul. I couldn't get a good overdrive sound with the Tele without cranking the settings of my Digitech Bad Monkey (Tube Screamer clone) really high.

So I raised the Tele pickups using two coins (a 20 EUR Cent piece for the bass side and a 5 EUR Cent piece for the treble side). Now the volume matches the Les Paul and the overdrive sound is also a lot hotter than before. I can use the volume poti to go back to a clean sound :)

Small change, huge difference in sound. Now I'm really happy :)

^^^ Awesome. Amazing how responsive these things can be to little tweaks.

    That's one sweet Tele.
If they had that model in that color in my local store, the gas would be to hard to resist.

I don't what is better? The Tele or the photography. Nicely done, and sweet guitar
