So, being totally led astray by @yeatzee and his earlier post and excellent video of this very same guitar, I knew it would make a perfect companion to my 2018 CS 56 NAMM Ltd Ed Thinline Strat. Both are heavy relics and feature burst finishes peaking out under the main colors. Brothers from another mother, you might say. These team built Ltd Ed NAMM models are really something special and if you’re ever in the market for a custom shop I’d highly recommend looking into one of these as they seem to be a cut above other custom shops I’ve played. Used options are out there! There’s not much I can add to Yeatzee’s information so I’ll refer you to his stellar video review here:

There’s one crazy thing about my particular acquisition. Every one of these relics is a little bit different, no two are exactly the same. So imagine my surprise when I was looking on the Guitar Center site page at this axe and begin to realize that the guitar I received is the one used for their photos! At first I thought I was crazy, so I picked the guitar up, went to my large computer screen, and started to zoom in on the photos from the page. Well
I’ll be damned! Spot on! I’m dating a model! I’ll add in the GC photos below in addition to my own. You can even see the white mark at the 3rd pole piece on the bridge pickup and 5 of the saddle screws remained in place through shipping. Enjoy:

Big fan of the painted-over look. I also have a white over burst CS and it is a joy to play. Hope you have a great time with it!

Very nice, me likee....FWIW, your first clue that it was the same guitar should have been the serial numbers....:D

Doh!!:lol: I’m a little slow on the draw as you can tell. Didn’t even think of it!

Very light indeed. Haven’t weighed it yet but can’t be much over 7 lbs.

I want a filthy old relic so bad. I had the Joe Strummer Tele but the relic was so fake and seemed the anti-thesis of what punk was all about but the neck felt so good.

The 57 soft v neck on this one is amazing. Only second in overall feel to the 10/56 on my CS Thinline Strat I mentioned above. The finish is equally great on both.

Gorgeous....yes the Limited Editions are IMO the best bang for the buck buying used....or new for that matter....you get features normally only available for custom/master built....I have a LTD ED Tomatillo Strat that was at the NAMM show in 2019....I scoured "walkthrough" videos of the Fender booth on youtube to find a perfect image of it with all of the buyer's "lottery" tickets stuck in the strings....there was alot of love for her that day.... and to this day from me!!!....Congrats!!!

Congrats, these are excellent. My next CS thinline will have binding, like my MIAs do. (Gratuitous pic included)
