Have only had a few minutes of plug and play. Stuck in a zoom meeting
I’ve actually been looking for one of those to go with this guy! Have fun with that beauty.
That's a beautiful guitar
MY gawd, please post more photos.. this may have well been the most beautiful 137 I have ever seen, and fuels my gas for one of these beauties!!!!!!!
That is a sweet guitar. I love that color with the black sides. Nice!
Wow! that is just gorgeous. I love the simplicity of a 137. I bet it plays great and sound amazing with that P90s.
Nice! I love those. Have wanted to pick up a red one since they were originally out.
Badly needs black pickup covers, though.
That thing is unreasonably attractive.
Wonder what it'd look like with a Bigsby, though
Feel and Tones:
I know this was one of the lower end models of the Memphis line up. I can tell by online research and a couple of QC finish issues that shouldn't have passed.
Not terrible though. I just wanted something with P90s. That said, I think I paid too much. But I'm not unhappy about it.
This guitar is 18 yrs old and you can tell, but I don't think it was played very much.
It's going to take some tweaking, but I think it's going to be pretty cool when I'm done.
Pickups need adjustment. Neck pickup is a little dark but not abnormally; based on what I know about P90s.
Bridge pickup Rocks! That's where it's pretty spanky.
Some idiot glued on the knobs. One of the pots broke trying to swap the knobs.
One of the pots started to act up a little, like a bad connection.
I'm going to play a while then make a new wiring harness.
the tone is much brighter than my epiphone 335.
Very nice!! Congratulations & enjoy.
OK so in goofing off this afternoon I plugged straight in to my ac15 and turned up the volume to a proper; possibly gigging level.
Yes any darkness I was hearing before was because I had to keep the volume down. Yeah; not there now.
The difference in reaction I got out of the guitar was dramatic compared to last night.
Maybe I'm just getting used to it, but the old copper top is breathing fire and singing like angel.
This thing is heavier than my les paul
Does this really have P90's? I thought these have stacked P100's? maybe thats the cause of the darker tone?
but man, I'm gassing for one as well! there's one ES-135 I passed up on because it was too beat up and the price was high.. that was a cherry red one..
I think that supposed to be higher model than the 135, I was surprised it didnt have bindings as the usual 137's I see.. or maybe thats the 137 Custom that has ebony board and varitone..
anyway.. I love this guitar of yours!!!
