Used from Chicago Music Exchange for under $300 with hardcase.

I played a friends nighthawk and really liked it.

This has one less pickup which is a big plus for me.

Through body hardtail

25-1/2" scale

Small belly cut mahogany body

7lbs is just light enough, if they would not have listed the weight I would have assumed too heavy and moved on.

Now I get to wait and see if shipping is my friend or foe.

HUMBUCKERS!!!!!!

Update.
Sorry folks hidden neck repair revealed before shipment.
New Refund Day

I think you’re going to like it. I am constantly amazed at what a bargain my Epiphone Nighthawk is. The quality is shocking at this price point.

Is this the version that has hidden 'dummy coil' to eliminate noise w/ the P-90's ?

If its a Gibson, yeah. Can't say about the Epi. Those aren't P90s BTW, they're Blues 90s with magnet pole pieces like Fender singles. More Fenderish than P90s.

And then this morning the email including pictures of the famous head / neck repair.

I looked at all the pics in the listing and this spot was not shown.

I appreciate them letting me know and actually looking for it before shipment but......

Sad I wont get this one and i hate waiting for the refund when the payment is nearly instant.

Guess fate is saying no to NGD this time, lame.

So I ended up with a JR.
Loving this thing at full gain TS9 through the Excelsior
Rocker for sure.

Got me thinking and measuring.

Pine esquire soon to be a p90 esquire with short bridge.
Dog ear p90 looks like it will fit just right with short bridge.
Need to carve pickup rout a bit but I think the p90 cover will hide it all

Austin is the brand on the JR
Set neck with rosewood board and mahogany neck
Warmer and smoother than the esquires with more grit
Dropped some cts pots & amber knobs on it
Surprised the jack was nice enough to keep.

My first Gibson was a nighthawk, I couldn't bond with it, its sounds were lacklustre.
