I few weeks ago I asked about Eastman Guitars and received mostly positive feedback with a few naysayers. I took a chance and I’m glad I did. The AC122 is a very fine guitar. I am Incredibly impressed with the fretwork. It has the feel and tone of a Taylor Grand Auditorium similar to a 214 or 314. Ebony fingerboard, sapele body, mahogany neck, jescar frets.

Considering an AC322CE all solid woods Eastman at guitar center. New it’s about $1500 or $1600, they have it for $650. Going back to check it out today. The strings are old, but still sounded fantastic. Probably get it if the original case is included.

That is a deal!

Take a small inspection mirror and a flashlight with you; have a wee peek around through the soundhole to ensure the internal braces are all a-ok.

Not a slam on Eastman (I have one); this is something that's good practice when buying a used acoustic or archtop from any maker.

Good luck!

I've liked every Eastman that I've played and Peegoo's advice is good. I also make it a point to check the neck angle and frets on any used guitar, those will be the expensive things if they need work. Also that its not dehydrated.

Then we'll need pictures in a new thread.

It didn’t grab me as much this time. Wish it had playable strings on it so I could decide.

F’n Guitar Center lol, cmon man.
Its not unreasonable to ask for a new set of strings if you are serious about the guitar. They should be doing that anyway but five bucks for a package of strings should be reasonable. Of course I also believe that a shop should set up a guitar for its new owner but I know that's asking for a lot.
