How would the Dave's '62 compare to the AV'64 like this one?

Is the Dave's '62 MIA, MIM, or MIJ ?

The differences that I can see are small: the Dave's '62 has a single-ply pickguard, the pickups are Custom Shop Texas Specials, the dots are clay instead of pearl, and there's no patent number on the headstock decal. Frets are medium jumbo, not sure what they are on the AVRI. The Dave's is MIA, and the finish is fairly thin with no poly undercoat.

Yes, Dave's has a 9.5" radius, 1 5/8" nut, Texas Special pups, and the AV64 has a 7.25" radius, 1.65" nut, grey bottom pups. I'm not sure how consistent the weight is on Dave's '62 because I've seen one at 8.2lbs.

Incredible guitar. I bought one this spring and promptly sold both of my other electrics. I like the sound of the Texas Specials for what they are but eventually swapped them for Lollars, a Vintage neck and '52 bridge.

So the guitar was perfect but you swapped out everything but the body and tone pots?

ah! haha I thought you replaced the literal neck and bridge You couldn't be faulted for swapping in a vintage neck.
