Really impressed. 7.2lbs, ash body, nice dark slab rosewood neck (very comfy). I don't mind the custom shop Texas Specials but may swap them eventually. This guitar rings loudly and you can feel the vibrations all thru the body. The threaded steel saddles are cool, no intonation issues and the dark fretboard dots look nice too. Fret size is perfect, they spec'd this guitar nicely.

I know what you are talking about - I have their sonic blue '62 Jazzmaster, it's a gem like yours. And yes, Dave knows how to really spec their guitars. If there is any difference between Dave's guitars and custom shop models, I have not seen it. Enjoy!

Nice, that's one of my favorite Teles I've played. Played a number of those when I still lived in Wisconsin. Really nice. Personally I liked the stock pickups with them quite a bit, but they're not for everyone.

Enjoy!

That looks sooooo good! Especially that dark rosewood fretboard with the clay dots. (They are clay, aren't they?)

Does she have a twin sister?

Incredible guitar. I bought one this spring and promptly sold both of my other electrics. I like the sound of the Texas Specials for what they are but eventually swapped them for Lollars, a Vintage neck and '52 bridge.
