I went into a couple of the local pawnshops yesterday that I check in with once in a while. Teles of course always catch my eye first. I saw this Squier Thinline but I’m not that familiar with Squiers so didn’t really know what I was looking at. I checked it out for a minute and it seemed well made and finished. Went home and researched it and realized the price on it was a steal. Seemed too good to be true so I went back this morning before work but they didn’t open early enough so I had to wait all day til I got off. I went back and luckily it was still there. I brought it home and cleaned it up a bit, put some new strings on it and plugged my vox amplug into it and jammed for about an hour. I think I might like it as much as my Am Pro. This think is a great player. I messed around with the pickup heights a little. The intonation is pretty good for not having compensated saddles. The action is very comfortable for me and there doesn’t seem to be any dead spots and no buzzing. The sun shines on a dog’s rear every now and then after all. Pics to follow.

It stands up but leans a bit I guess because of the sound hole. That’s another great thing about it is how light it is.

I don’t love the white sparkle pick guard but I don’t hate it either. I’m just not sure what would look good on such a dark grain body.
There is a few dings here and there. The serial number indicates it is a 2009 model made in China. There’s also a little bit of honest wear on the edges above the f hole. I think it shows in the pics but none of that bothers me cause I bought it to play.

Actually, I think the MOTS pickguard looks just right on that finish. Very nice!

I like it. It definitely is a good match but I don’t love it, which is about the only thing I don’t love about it.

That dark finish looks KILLER....you really scored a beauty there...maybe a parchment guard would do well with that, but the white pearl guard IS classic Thinline.
Congrats on the pawnshop find!! Great places to find “dusky jewels “

Very nice. I like the white pearl guard, but mint green would probably also look good with that finish.

Thanks. I practically stole it from them. $180 out the door.

I'd love a thin line, but honestly I don't need any more guitars. Great find, enjoy!!!

Cool guitar. I have one like it, and I had Fender PV64 pickups put in it. Sounds awesome. Enjoy!

Great guitars. I’m not fond of the pickguard on mine either but my wife says it’s stays.

Yeah I really don’t need anymore either and have actually been shopping around for a LP DC Jr. style guitar for a while now but when saw this thinline I couldn’t stop thinking about it.
