Here's my new one to share. It's a custom build I bought it from the guy that trades as Rexter Guitars in the UK who built it as is own guitar a few years ago. He's just bought a new Gibson ES CS 330 and this sale helps his finances.

I was planning a thinline build and I asked him for a thinline body and he said "Well, how about a whole guitar?". Our tastes are so similar.. as soon as I saw his pics I just knew it was a yes, so we did a sweet deal. I have my Cabronita for sale to help finance. Since I got my Gretsch Tennie, the Cab doesn't get any action.

Body is Blue Ice Metallic nitro, super-light 2 piece alder handmade by a UK luthier. The wear on this is all natural as this has been Jon's regular player guitar since he built it about 5 years ago. www.rexterguitars.co.uk . Jon has done a number of bodies for me and is highly recommended. A lovely guy to do buiness with.

The neck is an Allparts TRO-FAT, super thin vintage nitro finish also by Jon, Gotoh SD91s, bone nut. Lovely chunky dark chocolate slab of rosewood. Very well finished, smooth fret ends and rolled edges.

Neck pickup is by Q Pickups http://www.qpickups.com a great boutique winder in Croatia. This was commissioned by Jon as a one-off. It is a traditional Tele neck pickup but is wound to have a little more top end like a strat neck pickup and is housed under a vintage style gold foil cover just to look cool. Unique! Q Pickups did me a lovely Broadcaster.

Bridge pickup is a Lindy Fralin Blues Special. I think this one is the plus 5% wind. It has just the right twang and body without being too sharp.

The Bigsby unit is a USA B5 with a Reverend soft spring.

Gotoh bridge with Intune brass compensated saddles

Pickguard is a USA made vintage reproduction

Pots are all CTS 1meg, switch is Oak Grigsby. Being 1meg, I find the best point is the tone rolled off about half way.

Plays and sounds great. Two lots of pics, just because....

Cheers, Ben, I thought you might appreciate it. It's great to just have it around on a stand looking cool when I'm not playing it. Can't wait to play it with the band. :)

Yes, I can't say many of the current thinline from Fender tempt me. This is a lovely build by Jon and it competes with the best of Fender I think.

Thank you. One of mine too.... I believe it is correctly Blue Ice Metallic, not Ice Blue Metallic..... pretty sure that's right, though most use the latter.
