I have one--the fat neck is what I like best about it. Yours MIA, MIM, or Squier?

Stock pickups in my CS weren't great. Wrhb was passable, but not brilliant. Bridge was one of the worst stock Tele pickups ever. Needed to replace immediately.

I've been curious about these too. If you haven't yet, make sure you read that long thread on Keith's. It was up here a few weeks ago. A member here sold it to him.

    Good luck with the NGD.

Yea man, That thread pushed me through. I have a blk tele and the sunburst looks beautiful. Its a MIM. So who makes Wide range humbuckers to vintage specs? Also. any recommendations on a bridge pu to match? I have the OV's in a set and CS Nocasters ib another and both are awesome but whats gonna rip this joint with the WRHB

I've got a Lollar Vintage T for the bridge, but waiting to fix a couple of other problems before putting it on. Lollar also makes a WrHB, but it's expensive. Trying to decide whether to get that or try a PAF-type.

I have the AV 72 T Custom, I don't know if I would be in a hurry to do anything to it, but play it.

Your AV is a whole different animal from an MIM electronically. Apples to turnips.

I was just reading a thread that said Fender only makes one WRHB? Are they the same WRHB's in all the different lines and models?

Didn't fender just improve those WRHBs with a new version? Telenator provides a mod for them as well.

    Love my 72 Custome reissue

Lollar Regal in the neck and a Don Mare 0038 Keef-Caster in the bridge. The Lollar was a big step up from the factory WRHB but the angels sing when I open up that Mare 0038. Glendale saddles and I think I have probably gutted all the original pots and wiring. Mine had a missing solder joint on the three way switch from the factory, FWIW.

    Keef Kaster?

Very nice custom. So is the keef kaster wrapped in .42 wire to broadcaster specs? Is that why its called that?

That may have been correct but sometime last year late spring I think Fender started using an improved/revoiced WRHB in the AV series guitars. There is a tremendous difference.. I have the new version in my 72 Thinline and my 72 custom has the older darker sounding version.

If mine had the same pup as my 72 Thinline I'd agree with you.. I've already ordered a replacement to send to Telenator.. Find it's hard to put down the custom.. Sorry I waited so long to get one.
