Here it is next to my AV64.

I might actually prefer the mint, at least under these fluorescents. But my sunburst strat has a mint guard. Wanted to mix it up. We’ll see what sticks.

Love the CVCs. I have the same with my pickguard more mint than white. A bit warmer to my taste. I changed out the pups for more output even though I like the stock pups. I added a Lollar Special T at the bridge and Twang King for the neck. It performs well.

I’m waiting on a part to start putting this all back together. Before I do, I’ve been having some thoughts...

I have a set of Bootstrap Palo Duros waiting to drop into this one. And I have a 4-way switch and prewired control plate, 250K pots.

Should I put the control plate and 4-way into this guitar? Or into my AV64 (in which case I’d put the original 64 control plate in this one)?

    I’m torn...

Anybody know what pots are in the AV64?

Edit: The Bootstraps are RW/RP, for the record. Perhaps better suited for the 4-way?

Some more pics from the undressing and dress rehearsal to further solicit your input for the questions above...

And that’s the strap it’ll get. Originally from my AV64. Really isn’t quite long enough, as I’m 6’4”, but whatever. My other guitars can hang lower. I’ll keep this one kissable while playing.

Will have to install the electro socket (hopefully) tomorrow. I know I have a set of strings around here, but seriously can’t find them. With any luck though, I’ll have some sound samples up later this week.

I like this neck, so I’m going to keep it, and keep it as is for now. But seriously, wouldn’t this look good?

I have some amber shellac and clear coat if I ever get bored enough to actually do it, but it’s just not a priority. I’d rather be playing it in the meantime. Seriously just wish they’d have put
    Squier
    Custom Telecaster

Anyways, Haven’t had nearly enough time to play or work on this. But we’re on the home stretch now.

Oh, and for those keeping score, I sold the stock parts that I’m not using off of the guitar. The cost of all the upgrades was only $45 more than those earnings. And again, that’s upgrading all hardware and electronics.

Worth mentioning at this point that I got the guitar for a good bit less than the going rate, even after shipping and taxes. So, I’ll basically be breaking even in the end. So, certainly worth it.

Best value and savings on the @Bootstrap pups, which I can’t wait to try!

Very nice guitar, I just picked one up last month. They are a lot of guitar for the money for sure.
