After going to Guitar Center and Sam Ash and playing every tele I could get my hands on, I could not help myself after playing this one. ImageUploadedByTDPRI1440275074.504702.jpg

Just got this beauty a few days ago and I have to say I couldn't be happier! Setup was perfect out of the box and it sounds amazing. Not to mention the sonic blue with the mint guard is sexy.

My favorite tele I have ever played and that includes the 52 RI I had.

If you are considering one of these, stop thinking and jump all over it, you won't regret it.

Man!,... those are so nice. I've not played one but I'm guessing I'd get along this fine. Would love to hear those pups. Had a 50s baja a while back but it's long gone now.

Congrats! More pics, if you get the chance.

I'd go try out the used one, you'd get to play before you pay. You never know it may be perfect, and save you a couple hundred bucks!

Congrats! I keep hoping to find one of these in a store, just to try it out (and possibly take it home with me). The sonic blue is growing on me as well, for some reason it looks sooo sharp on this particular model!

Been considering one of these lately, but i cannot find one anywhere locally, and i live in a area with more guitar shops than most states, L.A. I am withing close driving distance to about 5 GC's and not one has one. Called thier main 800 number to see if any of thier stores near me had em and they told me it shows not one in the entire USA has it. They only have em in thier main warehouse. No one ever seem to carry certain fender models even tho they are very popular at least online. Even the 50's baja is hard to find but i did see one once at a GC.

I love them except the huge necks. Really awesome guitars if you like big necks!

The 60s Baja necks are considerably slimmer than those on the original Bajas and have rosewood boards. I finally got mine a few days ago (sonic blue) to go with my BSB "50s" Baja. Not quite perfect OOTB, but a little tweaking and all is good.

    To the OP, HNGD! Enjoy!

Welcome to the club, I have the exact same in sonic blue, beautiful looker. This was the guitar that swerved me off my 'I have to have a white blonde AV64' track, it just looks so cool and has some real fine and dandy pickups IMO. Really, really nice guitars with great build quality and tones. Enjoy, I'm back on my AV64 quest!

Oh, nice. I tried one with a maple board and like I said, awesome Tele so a slimmer neck on that guitar would suit me fine.
