That is super nice
Mustang Bridge, mint guard, AV knobs and Thomastik flats installed. We're in business!
Congrats on your NGD. That is stunning. I came across the CS Jazzmaster on accident at MF when looking for new road worn models. This JM looks new to me but I guess it was released in mid/late 2014.
What do you mean by 'offsets?'
The Jaguar arrived at my local store today, so I went in to check it out. As I feared, the neck is a toothpick in my hands. I wasn't fond of the finish on the neck either - a bit fake tan orange for my liking. And, overall, the guitar just didn't feel as lively or inspiring as the '65 AVRI I played a while back. Looks like, if I want a Jaguar, I'm gonna have to find the cash for the AVRI.
It looks fantastic!
Bloody gorgeous!!! congrats!!!
I would be curious to see pics of the model you tried.
This is the lacquer Jag.
I bought a surf green classic series JM at the week-end. I wasn't going to get one for a while but made the mistake of going into the guitar shop instead of walking on by. Its a light weight beauty at 7.5lbs give or take and while I will probably switch the trem and bridge out the pickups are spot on. The paint job is about 99% perfect -just one missed bit and its not sticky either like my Johnny Marr jag still is. The neck feels a tad slimmer than a CP 60s JM but that maybe just an opinion as I don't have kit to measure. It is pretty slim though , if more orange in colour than is necessary. The case is Ok - definitely a step below the US ones but better than a gig bag. Overall the guitar fit and finish is very good. With a tweak here and there it will be perfect. Do not under any circumstances play one through one of those wunnerful reissue Silverfaces if you want to keep your money in your pocket. I succumbed.
Can you please repost the images?
You might be waiting awhile, this thread is nearly a year old, and dude hasn't' been seen around here since May.
You have no idea how much time I've spent Lusting after that very model. Maybe someday soon....
