Where other than your house can you play something like this without having to have it in your hands at all times?

There’s no way I would just put it on a stand with people walking around it (although the average person would have no idea what it is) it would cause major paranoia on my part
Imagine someone just brush’s it with a zipper bam! There goes 1000 dollars

I was just having a conversation with my father about how guitars are meant to be played and are tools but I don’t even know how I’d feel if I owned something that stayed that clean for 70 years, I mean I would play it but gigging would be out

You sir O.P are one brave individual

The plan is to put it back in its case between sets. And then watch the case like a hawk :)

The good news is that I don't play sketchy bars anymore. Most of my dates are pretty tame.

Very nice and clean for its age ..it does look like someone has taken the neck off and randomly bolted it back on from looking at the fret markers not sitting centered giving the low E a alignment issue easy fix though

"One of the cleanest Broadcasters on the planet", wow!

Nice bringing it out to play, I met an old codger who had "a very fine Strad" and kept it in a vault.
I heard him play a new violin in the luthiers shop at the time and it was tragic that a fine old instrument was owned but really not used for music making. The guy did loan it out at times for I guess a visiting violinist but instruments oughtta be played not vaulted...

Congrats! I was wondering who got that when I went into ECG last week and saw a blank spot in the display case that it used to occupy. Every time I saw it I thought to myself that it had too be about the coolest Fender on the planet. That is a real treasure. Play it in good health!

Okay, so the maiden voyage was a duo gig with my wife at a brewery, Broadcaster -> TC Helicon -> Bose L1. Not exactly tone nirvana, but it did survive my treatment of East Bound And Down

    Great!
Nice playing and I’m delighted this is owned by a gigging guitarist.

Nice guitar, Dave. I wish I could set it up for you. A good set up would cure that alignment problem and also get it t9 where it could play in tune. The saddle placements alone assure one that it does not play in tune.

Everything about this is GREAT: great guitar (obviously), great playing, but perhaps the greatest is you doing a duo gig with your wife.

Wow. A truly world class guitar and a wife that can pound out rhythm like a champ. You may be my new hero.
